Sabine Breitsameter (Berlin/Darmstadt) researches and teaches since 2006 as Professor for Sound and Media Culture at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. As an expert in experimental audio media, she has worked as dramaturge, director, editor and artist within the German public radio system, and as a director of festivals, symposia and exhibitions. In 2002-2008, she co-founded the Master’s program in “Sound Studies” at the University of the Arts in Berlin. From 2004-2006 she was director of the German-Polish art radio station “Radio_Copernicus.” She has produced numerous publications on listening culture, experimental audio media, media ecology and soundscape. Since 2013, she is the chief curator of the Campus Program at the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image/Frankfurt. At her university, she currently develops the Master program "International Media Cultural Work", which is supposed to start in summer 2015.
